The most difficult of all genres of painting with digital software, portrait painting, is tackled with humor and finesse. Marilyn teaches simple ways to turn those portraits into paintings plus the details that help to quickly create paintings even for beginners. Eyes, hair and skin are all taught and handled with an understanding of what portrait clients really want from a painting.

We will cover various methods of portrait painting and also “photographic” portrait paintings where only a small amount of Painter is used to create higher end portraits for the portrait studio. Brushes and techniques will be gone over in depth and multiple ways of accomplishing each step will be presented.

This hands on program requires a workshop setup with plenty of room for laptops and Wacom tablets. Latest version of Corel Painter needs to installed and Photoshop 7 or higher.
